Wednesday Night Small Groups – Together – Not – Alone
In Genesis 1, every time God created something he saw that it was good. When he created mankind he saw that it was “very good.” But when that first man was created God said that it was “not good for the man to be alone.” This is a deep and important truth and it goes beyond a man needing a woman or a woman needing a man. It is not good for us to be alone. We were created for community. We are told in scripture to encourage, confess, serve, and pray for one another among many other things. It’s was Jesus wants for his church!
And that’s why we place a big emphasis on small groups. We need relationships that go beyond the small talk on Sunday morning – relationships in which we can be real with each other and share our lives together – relationships that help us grow as disciples of Jesus.
